Roofer coverage network · open application
Booked inspections,
not raw leads.
The Battencast coverage network for Chicago + Illinois roofers. Apply with your license, insurance, ZIPs, and response window — we screen every submission, the founder personally reviews qualified contractors, and your first inspection routes onto your calendar, not onto a phone sheet.
Currently sourcing for Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, and Kane counties — adjacent counties reviewed case by case.
What's in it for the contractor
Four things the network quietly does for you.
Reflowed from the booking engine the rest of the platform already runs on — the roofer side keeps the same model: a screened application, a slot offer, an inspection on the calendar.
Booked inspections, not raw leads
When a homeowner matches your ZIPs and roofing types we route the inspection onto your calendar — same booking seam our other contractors use. You see who, when, and where; not a list of names to chase.
No cold-lead surprises
Homeowners reach the coverage network through consent-aware outreach: missed calls, web forms, SMS, chat. Your contact info stays behind a slot offer, not a phone-sheet scrape.
Predictable schedule
Window-level booking + the founder manually pacing the pool keeps your team's calendar steady. We don't crank volume through your inbox.
Manual review, every application
Qualified applications are read by the Battencast founder before they enter the active coverage pool. Auto-screening flags issues; a human decides.
What we look for
Eligibility, plainly.
Five-second read so you know whether to bother filling out the form. The same requirements the screening logic runs server-side.
- 01
Active Illinois roofing license
LICENSED or PENDING. Pending is reviewable — we just want to know the file is open with IDFPR.
- 02
General liability insurance
FULL or PARTIAL coverage on file. NONE disqualifies — every job we route carries a contractor under a GL policy.
- 03
At least one ZIP in the Chicago + Illinois footprint
Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, and Kane counties today. Adjacent counties are reviewable. Apply with the ZIPs you actually work.
- 04
Response time under 48 hours
Homeowners see the window when they book. Anything beyond 48h fails the qualifier — confirm-ready windows only.
Service-area coverage
Where we currently route.
Today the coverage network pulls Illinois homeowners from five counties. The list grows as more qualified contractors join — every new ZIP expands the surface without flooding your inbox.

How we treat your details
A real review, equal-opportunity, no spam.
- Every application is screened automatically, then read by the founder personally before a contractor enters the active coverage pool.
- Your details are used only to evaluate this application and contact you about it. We do not add contractors to any marketing list, and we do not share your details with third parties.
- You will receive one confirmation email after submitting. Outreach is one-to-one and tied to the application outcome.
- Battencast is an equal-opportunity network. License status, geography, company size, and availability do not factor into hiring — coverage-fit and active Illinois licensure do.
What the calendars look like
A peek at the next open windows.
These are the inspection windows the network currently routes homeowners into. When a qualified contractor is matched, the homeowner sees your name on the slot offer — not a phone sheet.
Pulled live from the existing /outreach booking engine. No new data source — same bookable windows every contractor sees.
